Game Designer and Writer
Tzar Leonardi
I officially started pursuing a career in game design in 2014. However designing games has always been a part of my life as one of my primary hobbies growing up. Ever since I was aware that the things I would do were more than merely playing the games, but studying them, enhancing them, and reinventing them too, I knew that this was going to be a prominent part of my future.
Outside of video games, I find music and writing to be gratifying creative outlets. This comes hand in hand with my interest in other forms of art and entertainment; everything from film to photography, to fashion and the fine arts. In each of these, I most readily latch on to the masterful storytelling and uncompromising boldness found in my favourite works. I am passionately inspired by these more established mediums in my approach to game design, as evidenced by the projects showcased.
I studied game design at the Academy of Interactive Entertainment in Melbourne, Australia. I also possess a broader academic background in psychology, architecture and mathematics. I value the roles of innovation, intellect, maturity, hard work and humour in the act of creation, and I make sure to bring these qualities wherever I go. With my career, it is my intention to expand video games to its most excellent potential as a medium, all the while learning more about the world and its various peoples. I hope to align with those who share this vision and go on to develop games that affect, enlighten and impress.
